1. Daario is going to die.
Everybody except Daenerys is totally sick of her smug boy toy, clinging on like a sycophantic tick. When will he just die already.
Well, hopefully it’s next episode. Daario’s mentioned in the past he hopes to live to old age and in Game of Thrones that’s basically just asking for an early, gruesome death.
We already can expect that the Wise Masters of Yunkai and Astapor will betray Tyrion and Daenerys. When Tyrion was negotiating with them, they let Tyrion believe they did not know where the queen was. But when Daenerys was captured by the Dothraki, the wise masters had already put out a ransom on her.
This duplicity foreshadows a betrayal, and someone semi-major will have to die because of it. Let’s just hope its Daario. JorBear is the only true ship for Daenerys.
2. The new ‘red witch’ will be more evil than the Melisandre.
With Melisandre bringing Jon back from the dead, it’s easy to forget just how evil she is. You know, with the child burning, the shadow babies, and her all around unsettling vibe.
This new red priestess in Meereen backing Daenerys could have a similar bad streak — but maybe even worse. Instead of burning people alive in boring old pyres of wood, she has three dragons on hand to up the shock value. Daenerys is already a little crazy, some speculate she has more of her father, the Mad King, than we know. With a crazy Lord of Light priestess whispering in her ear, Daenerys’ “fire and blood” line could start getting a lot more literal.
3. The Brotherhood Without Banners is coming back.
The group was mentioned by the Freys last episode and appear to still be kicking ass in the Riverlands. The group led by Thoros of Myr, another red priest, and the dead many times over Berric Dondarrion haven’t been seen since Season 3.
The nod to the BWBs also begs the question, where the hell is Gendry? For all we know he’s still rowing that little row boat across the narrow sea. He could be in Meereen by now.
It would be a shame if the show just completely abandons him as he is basically the rightful king at this point. Tommen is not even a Baratheon and all King Robert’s brothers are dead.
What’s less likely is a Lady Stoneheart reveal. Book fans have been waiting three seasons for just a whiff of the resurrected zombie of Caitlin Stark, but it looks that she may be left out entirely from the show.
4. Arya will join the acting troupe as a way back to Westeros.
So, Arya’s screwed up her Faceless Man training big time. And having a group of shape shifting assassins after you, means she’s got to get out of Bravos ASAP. We already know she will fight The Waif next episode, but what will she do after.
The acting troupe seems like the most likely scenario. She already has an in with the group’s female lead and who knows, the next stop on the tour could be Westeros.
